How to grout tile in 6 easy steps?

Tile grout step-by-step guide:

 

1. Mix the Grout
Mix the grout with water until it forms a thick, consistent compound.

 

2. Apply the Grout
Make sure the tiles are clean and dry.
Scoop some grout onto the rubber float. Hold it at a 45-degree angle and spread the grout evenly across the tiles.

 

3. Fill the Joints
Press the grout into the gaps between the tiles using the float’s edge.
Start in small areas to prevent the grout from drying too quickly.

 

4. Remove Excess Grout
After filling the joints, use the float at a 90-degree angle to scrape excess grout from the tile surface.

 

5. Clean with a Damp Sponge
Wait about 15-20 minutes for the grout to set.
Dampen a sponge and gently wipe away any grout residue from the tiles.

 

6. Final Cleaning
After the grout has dried completely (usually 24 hours), do a final cleaning with a damp sponge to polish the tiles.
