How to apply cement-based plaster for EIFS/ETICS?

Before applying the cement-based plaster, it is necessary to prepare the surface, which includes cleaning and adding a base coat. The next step is mixing the application according to the manufacturer’s instructions. The mix should be smooth and free of lumps.

Start applying the plaster at the bottom of the EIFS/ETICS system and work your way up using a trowel to apply with even thickness. Allow the first layer to harden before applying subsequent layers, usually 24-48 hours. Once the final layer has been applied, gently use a damp sponge to work the surface to produce a smooth, even finish. After the plaster dries out, it can be painted or finished with various decorative treatments.
